You wake up in your bed. At first, it might not seem as though anything has changed...until you try to leave the room. You'll quickly discover that while you can phase through the interior walls of the building, you can't open doors, pick up objects, or alter the environment in any way. Worse, the only people who can see and hear you are your fellow ghosts; to everyone else, you may as well be so much empty air.

That said, there are still a few other things you can do besides just observing those who are still alive. You now have the ability to conjure any food, drink, or reasonably small object out of midair, although anything you conjure will go unnoticed by the living inhabitants. More interestingly, there is now an intricate iron door embedded in the wall of the main room that you're sure hadn't been there yesterday. If you open it, you'll find that at long last you've exited the building...and the world outside looks quite familiar.

In fact, it's your world. Though...it might not be exactly how you remember it when you left.

You won't be able to get far in the area before you feel some kind of barrier preventing you from taking another step, but it's enough for you to know that something has Gone Terribly Wrong. Perhaps it's the bombed-out shell of your building, or the monsters screeching nearby, or the corpses of your army scattered on the ground; whatever the situation is, it's clear that you would have been in grave danger had you still been back home. Luckily, your ghostly status is still in effect even here; while there may be danger still lurking about, none of it will be able to affect you.

The building behind you has taken on a translucent, almost insubstantial appearance; only the iron doors remain as solid as ever. You can simply open them again to return to the cat's domain.

(OOC: Here's how this will work! Whenever someone new arrives to the graveyard, the world outside will change to their canon's world. We'll leave the exact location and situation up to you to describe; the only thing that matters is that it should be clear your character would have been in enormous danger had they been around. Everyone in the graveyard will be able to explore the area, which will at maximum be around the size of a large ballroom; you'll be able to see things outside the area, but you won't be able to take another step forward. You can interact with the setting, but you won't be able to affect anything living, and anything that might pose a danger such as bullets will pass right through you.)

[Well, her channeling of Kouha and consequent death had been right in there in the open for all the dead to see. And she'd tried her very very best to stay positive and cheerful in her last moments left, willing herself not to crack because even if it was too late for her, they had to go on and she had to do her best for them.]

[But once it's over.... the second she realizes she's left her body behind and finally kicked the bucket, she breaks down into tears like a complete loser]

[It's pretty quiet, actually, even quieter after she realizes that she's not alone and buries her face in her hands to try to hide it and calm herself down.]

[It's one thing to risk your life, to say you're okay with dying, but it's another to actually feel the life gush out of your body and realize you'll never seen your remaining friends and loved ones again

Actually, the urge is overwhelming. He just wants to take out his own despair on anyone around him, in one miserable shockwave.]

She just pats Maya's back and tries to hum something soothing. ]

It won't take her long to calm down, in any case, especially with other people around, so after a minute or two her sobs die down to a sniffle]

[HEY LET'S MAKE THIS MORE AWKWARD because guess who's sitting nearby.

At least Ema's calmed down from her own screaming and crying for now. When she realizes that Maya's no longer reassuring EVERY PERSON EVER and is now actually dead, she stares at her like a deer in headlights for a few moments. Athena had reassured her that Ema'd lived, and she doesn't really want to upset Maya more than she already clearly is.

So she sloooooooowly starts moving to hide behind... the wall maybe. Yeah, that'll work. Don't mind her, she's just a figment of your imagination, Maya.]

[She will actually stop crying momentarily to stare hard, horrified!!]

Ema stops, her eyes getting a bit wider. Now that Maya knows she's here, she has to say something! Something smart that'll convey how truly sorry she is for being the catalyst that set all of this off and for letting Kaoru talk her into doing something before discussing it with everyone and for getting Maya killed.]

[Having just come back from an emotional reunion herself Youmu can't help but be tearful but for Maya's sake she tries to bite them back as much as possible. She wasn't used to comforting people who were that emotional but she can't stand by and do nothing. Gently she touches Maya's shoulder and if Maya needs someone to cling to and cry on she's all hers]

[She's calming down pretty quickly, so she wipes her eyes, sniffles, nods, and reaches out to take it]

[It takes him a while to respond, but he eventually does, though his voice is as expressionless as his face.]

...I'm sorry I couldn't save Ema and got you killed. [And he does mean it, in a distant sort of way. He'd tried his best to keep the both of them alive and he failed. Just one more way he fucked up to add to the massive pile already.]
